What is the difference between microblading and digital microblading?

Microblading- The manual way of applying permanent eyebrows

Microblading is done with a manual tool, that is not connected to a power source.  There are a series of needles in the form of a blade at the end of the hand tool.  The manual tool is used to make tiny hair like cuts to the skin and then a mask of pigment is applied.  The pigment sinks into the tiny cuts to create the look of hair. Since all the cuts are open, any pigment applied will go into all the cuts, making them all the same color.  Many people choose microblading as their first permanent eyebrow procedure because of its ability to create extremely thin hair strokes with your natural skin as the background color.  As time goes on and the body metabolizes the pigment, those hair strokes will start to blur, and less of the natural skin will show. This is when the digital microblading or other permanent makeup techniques become a better choice, so it is imperative that an artist have knowledge of all aspects of cosmetic eyebrow tattooing.  Manual microblading is a bit more traumatic than other permanent eyebrow techniques, therefore it is only suggested for healthy skin. If you have a skin condition such as excema, psoriasis, excessive oiliness, manual microblading may not be suitable for you.
