MicroNeedling
WE CAN
If you struggle with fine lines, acnes scars, and uneven tone and texture Microneedling is for you.
If you struggle with fine lines, acnes scars, and uneven tone and texture Microneedling is the best aesthetic service for you. Otherwise known as Collagen Induction Therapy, microneedling is performed by your esthetician who will make controlled micro-injuries to trick the skin into healing itself by naturally producing more collagen and elastin. During the microneedling procedure a sterile cartridge is inserted to the mechanical pen. This cartridge contains 12 tiny needles. Your esthetician will apply a thin layer of hyaluronic acid to your skin and customize the settings of the pen based on your needs. The pen is pressed and glided over the entire face, resulting in thousands of microscopic micro-injuries to start the skins healing process, in which your skin will naturally try to create more elastin and collagen, along with utilizing the hyaluronic acid that’s penetrating through the microscopic channels in your skin. Directly following your treatment your skin will be noticeably red. On average our clients can expect to be red for 2-4 days after microneedling. Along with the redness, our clients will notice a glow directly after, while the longer lasting effects of the microneedling treatment will be more visible in the several days or weeks to come. You may notice results continue for up to 6 months after your initial microneedling session as your collagen production continues.
What to know prior to your Microneedling?
Three days prior to your microneedling service, it is important to stop the use of any Retin-A, retinol products and any auto-immune therapies. You also may not receive a microneedling treatment on sunburned skin, for this we ask no prolonged sun exposure for one month prior to your appointment. Monitor your skin and ask your esthetician if you can proceed should you have a severe breakout prior to your microneedling treatment.
Who cannot receive a Microneedling Treatment?

How many microneedling sessions are needed?
At Cosmetic Solutions we recommend getting a series of 2-3 treatments with 6-8 week intervals between treatments. However if your concern is deeper wrinkles, severe photo-aging, stretch marks, or acne scars we may increase that to 6-8 sessions with 6 week intervals between treatments. It is always best to talk with your esthetician to get their professional opinion based on your individual needs.
Aftercare Instructions for Microneedling
Directly following your Microneedling procedure we ask that you do not take any anti-inflammatory medications (Ibuprofen, Motrin, Advil etc. ) for at least 2 weeks after your treatment. These medications can interfere with your skins healing process which will greatly affect the results of your microneedling treatment. For the following three days avoid any active skin care- this means no Alpha Hydroxy Acids, no Retin-A products, no Beta Hydroxy Acids, and no Vitamin C. If you have concerns about your skincare routine, ask our estheticians and they will be able to help! Avoid intentional sun exposure or tanning in direct sunlight and tanning beds for at least three days. Do not swim in a chlorinated pool for the first day. No exercising, strenuous activity, or excessive perspiring for the first day after treatment. Sweat and certain exercise environments can cause harmful bacteria to penetrate your skin and may cause adverse reactions. Avoid the use of personal cosmetics for three days. Always protect your skin with a minimum of 30 SPF. Do not wash your skin until one full day has passed from your initial microneedling treatment.
